Beaked Hazelnuts

A couple of days ago on a pre-sunrise walk two adolescent black bears came out of the woods three hundred yards away and wrestled with one another.

The majority of people live without the genuine knowledge or lived experience of wild things.  Gladly so.  The whole world is caught up in the spiralling stampede to a better standard of living, and in direct proportion has lost the capacity to be healthy on any level.  This is proven out through the drive for technology itself, which has resulted in the loss of the social stability itself that is necessary to produce it; there is not even any way for it to scale back, if it even desired to do so.  Indeed, it cannot.

Most people can live without wild things.

I cannot.
